The modern Canadian Flag was first raised on Parliament Hill on February 15, 1965. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the adoption of Canada’s current flag, the Royal Canadian Mint issued a commemorative silver dollar coin featuring a large image of the flag together with a smaller image of the flag flying atop the Peace Tower in Ottawa. This is the special edition presentation, which includes a CD-ROM showing the historic development of Canada’s flag and Coat-of-Arms.
